how can i use a reverse offset wheel upfront on my 75 Imp

So I bought a 15x8" reverse offset wheel set for my 75' and of course the tires ended up being almost flush with the fenders.
If i lower it just a little I can get away with it since it doesnt look goofy
BUT I intend to drop this car 3" and air bag it so this is a problem.

Have seen upper control arms that are adjustable but nothing adjustable for the lower control arms.
Gna need abt an inch and half ( I think) reduction in the suspension to tuck the wheels inside.

    Anybody got advice here?
I COULD go the easy route and just get a different wheel
but if i can engineer this to accept the deep dish rim I'm down to do the deed!
