Ahhahahahaha! That's great! No joke, but a buddy of mine from Ohio came down once and this was in 2007. He had a 2002 Blazer (not even that old) and you could see through all of the bottom of it and the quarters. He told me to never live in Ohio!

This may turn out to be a fail.... I thought it would dry hard, but it's all squishy. Oh well, let's see what it looks like in the morning.

Just get you a plastic scraper and knock it down some, sand it a little, spray some paint that's "close" to color and go with it. That foam will always be squishy and it will turn a burnt color over time especially out in the weather. Keep us posted. Remember, don't let anyone poke it.

Hehe, it's actually working out pretty well! I used a styrofoam shaper to cut it down and get the body shape close, but recessed a hair from the metal. Next I put a thin layer of bondo over the foam (which actually DID dry pretty hard, btw). One more coat of filler tomorrow, then it's sanding time!

That's a neat idea to skim coat it with bondo. For that matter, I bet you'd be far pressed to tell there's "foam" behind it when it's all done. Definitely post more pics of this.

It's not much to look at, but here it is with the 1st coat of filler.

After some sanding, here's the 2nd coat.

Eh, it's starting to take shape.

Got a little more sanding done today.

Just for the hell of it I sprayed some paint on it.  So much for the color match, lol! I'm still on 120 grit paper so I'll just sand it back off.
All in all, for a total novice bodyman, I think it's coming out OK.

Man, that looks fantastic to me! Great job on that. Honestly, if you can get a good color match, I think no one would know there is foam behind there.

I'm good as long as nobody taps on it. LOL!
