30hp loss from fan on new Engine Masters!

Just watched the Engine Masters they tested bunch of belt driven fans for parasitic loss.

A factory GM fan without a clutch sucked 30hp from a 350 ! I suspected something like that

after I tried few belt driven fans then went to an electric setup last year but wow even the clutch

fan in a cold room took 15hp.

All things being driven take HP!

That's why a Powerglide transmission takes less horse power than a turbo 400 or even a turbo 350.

Electric radiator fans are the way to go.
